This course will cover 

  • Ballistic Considerations:

    Understanding how bullets interact with vehicle materials (glass, metal) and the impact on terminal effects. 

  • Firearms Handling in Vehicles:

    Safe handling, draw-stroke/presentation, and weapon employment techniques while inside a vehicle. 

  • Movement and Positioning:

    Cover and concealment tactics, moving to points of cover, and alternative shooting positions (e.g., double knee, prone, urban prone). 

  • Vehicle Evacuation:

    Emergency seatbelt removal and rapid egress techniques. 

  • Engaging Threats:

    Responding to threats from inside and outside the vehicle, including engaging targets through the windshield. 

  • Teamwork:

    Two-man and four-man team drills, communication, and coordination. 

  • Contingency Planning:

    Troubleshooting vehicle-specific issues and adapting to unexpected situations. 

  • Situational Awareness:

    Maintaining awareness of surroundings, including space cushion and peripheral vision. 

Practical Drills and Exercises:

  • Live Fire Drills: Engaging targets in various scenarios, including those involving vehicles.
